Inside our cabins we have made every effort to switch to energy or water saving options. Please note that, since it would use more energy and resources to replace a still useful appliance than an energy efficient model would save, we are changing items over only as they need replacing.

 

	Low-flush toilets Low flush toilets require less water, conserving this valuable resource.
	Power-smart appliances These appliances use less energy than their standard counterparts, putting less strain on environmentally damaging hydro stations.
	Energy-Saving light bulbs Flourescent bulbs use approximately 75% less energy than standard incandescent bulbs and produce less heat.
	Tile and wood flooring These types of flooring do not need replacing as often as carpet or linoleum, reducing the amount of waste and resources consumed to make new flooring. They also contribute to a healthier living environment.
	Laundry exchange bins By asking guests to put only the towels they need changed into our towel bins we cut down on the amount of laundry to be done. This both conserves the amount of water and detergents being consumed.
